CLAN Cancer Support has announced its programme of support groups held at its Banchory centre.
CLAN will hold a monthly Creative Writing Group at its wellbeing and support centre in the town’s Posties Walk.
Following the first 2019 meeting on 18th January, the group will meet monthly between 1.30pm and 3pm on 1st February, 22nd February, 15th March, 19th April and 10th May.
The group is open to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis and is free to attend.
The charity will also be hosting its first coffee morning of 2019 on Friday, 8th February, between 10.30am and 12pm.
Helen Hasnip, CLAN Cancer Support’s Deeside Area Coordinator, said: “The creative writing group is a relaxed and informal group which aims to give individuals the chance to develop a new skill or hobby, whilst meeting people who may find themselves in a similar situation. Space is limited so I would urge anyone interested in attending to get in touch to reserve their place.
The charity also holds monthly coffee morning’s and a monthly craft group at the base along with weekly drop in support each Thursday between 10am – 4pm.
