Services in Shetland

Support & Wellbeing Centre 

Our support and wellbeing centre offers an opportunity for one-to-one support and access to information about cancer related issues.   The centre is open Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (10.00am - 2.00pm). Our free support services are available to anyone living with cancer, their family members, carers and close friends.  

Peerie Yarn 

Our Peerie Yarns offer friendship and support to anyone living with cancer, their family members, carers and close friends.  Sometimes there is a guest speaker and there is always plenty time to meet with and chat to others.  

The North Mainland Group meets on the third Sunday of the month in the North Haven Care Centre, Brae (2.30 - 4.30pm)

Health & Wellbeing

We offer Reiki in the CLAN Centre in Lerwick.  W also offer Emotional Freedom Technique, Gentle Yoga, Mindfulness, Relaxation and Visualisation.  To find out more please contact us on 01595 720320 or 

Makkin & Yarnin

First Saturday of the month (10.30am-12.30pm) with Nan Smith and Sonia Inkster.  For further details please call 01595 720320.

Coffee Morning & Raffle

Held monthly on a Thursday from 10.30am - 12.30pm.    Next coffee morning is scheduled for Thursday 26 February.

Charity Shop

Adjacent to the Support & Wellbeing Centre, access on Commercial Road, our charity shop generates income to help fund services in Shetland and Aberdeen.  
Our opening hours are Monday - Friday (10.00 am - 4.00 pm) and Saturday (10.00 am - 2.00 pm)

Our nutritionist Cathy Clark will give a short presentation and recipe demonstration.  Attendees will also be able to sample some delicious immune boosting smoothies and snacks. Open to anyone affected by cancer.
