Each Board member brings a wealth of experience and range of skills to support the ongoing development of CLAN. CLAN's Board and management team are aided by a number of Ambassadors who provide assistance in fundraising, campaigning and public relations.
All Board members and Ambassadors volunteer their time to work with us and we are extremely grateful to them for their continued support and commitment to CLAN. Our present Board consists of the following individuals:
Joined CLAN’s Board in July 2014 and was appointed Chairman at the end of that year. Kenny is managing director and majority shareholder of Anderson Construction and Anderson Buchan Properties, established in 1993 and 2000 respectively. He was an elected Trustee of the Chartered Institute of Building from 2009 to 2012, is a former Chairman of CIOB Scotland and was also the Aberdeen Leader of Business for Scotland from 2012 to 2015.
Hugh is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a well-respected member of the north-east business community, having had a successful career in the financial sector and also having held a number of non-executive roles in both the public and private sectors.
As both Head of Acquisitions and Head of Private Equity, Mr Little enjoyed a 29-year career with Aberdeen Asset Management. He has also held previous directorships with the Aberdeen Board of the SCDI and Aberdeen Football Club and he was a Director of Scottish Enterprise Grampian from 2001 to 2008.
Joined CLAN’s Board in January 2012 and is Vice-Chair. Gregory retired from the Health Service in July 2010 after 41 years of service. In 2004 he was awarded an MBE for his contribution to Nursing and Racial Equality. Gregory chairs CLAN’s Services Sub-Committee.
Joined CLAN’s Board in January 2012 and was appointed Vice-Chair at the end of 2014. Andrew works with marketing and communications company Mearns & Gill as an Account Manager. He chairs CLAN’s PR, Marketing and Fundraising Sub-Committee.
Seona is currently Membership Network Manager at Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce supporting members in the energy sector. Previously Seona worked within the third sector for more than 10 years in a fundraising capacity as Head of Fundraising & Marketing at Inspire, one of Scotland’s leading learning disability charities and National Corporate Account Manager at Children 1st.
Stuart joined Park Brown International as a Director in 2002 and acquired the company in 2008, joining the board of FWB Park Brown on its merger with FWB in 2013. He is a member of the Grays School of Art Professional Advisory Board and Advisor to the Transition Extreme Social Enterprise. He is a guest lecturer at the RGU MBA Leadership Week.
Joined CLAN’s Board in November 2013. Jackie brings extensive knowledge of the retail sector having established and operated fashion boutique The B’s Knees in Oldmeldrum and Inverurie for 25 years. Jackie will be looking to use her expertise to maximise opportunities in CLAN’s charity shops.
During her career, Leigh has gained a depth of experience within Human Resources and the business community. Since joining Hunter Adams Limited, she has worked with organisations in more than 20 sectors, assisting with HR support. In her role as Managing Director, Leigh has also gained valuable business experience in all areas of business management.
Joined CLAN’s Board in July 2014. Ken is a qualified solicitor and has worked in private practice in Aberdeen for more than 30 years. He is currently Senior Partner at Burness Paull.
Dr Lesley Weir
Joined CLAN's Board in September 2015. Lesley worked as a General Practitioner for 25 years prior to retirement in 2010. She has a special interest in children's and women's health issues.
Following a successful career as a chief officer with Aberdeen City Council, Andrew undertook a mix of paid and voluntary work with various organisations including Aberdeen Foyer, Grampian Fire and Rescue Service, North East Sensory Services and Footprints Connect. He has been the lead officer for Aberdeen city during Scotland’s Census in both 2001 and 2011. Andrew is Vice Lord Lieutenant for the city, a proud honour supporting and representing the Queen’s ambassador in the city, the Lord Lieutenant, at civic and royal occasions.
